Location: Collie (Interstate relocation available)

Position Objective: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Condition Monitoring Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and accurate monitoring and analysis of critical rotating machinery. By implementing predictive maintenance programs and strategies, you will contribute to increasing plant availability, reliability, and longevity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, implement, and enhance vibration, lubrication, and thermography-based predictive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor and optimize oil and grease maintenance routines to maximize plant life and availability.
  • Assist in developing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA’s).
  • Identify opportunities for improving plant availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine equipment failure causes.
  • Collaborate with operations and asset engineering teams to identify and resolve plant faults.
  • Provide feedback on maintenance activities and plant condition to the Operations Coordinator Maintenance.
  • Ensure completion of all routines and plant checks with proper documentation.
  • Create and update documentation regularly (JSAs, Routines, Checklists, Spares, Procedures).
  • Ensure completion of all SAP routines with appropriate documentation.
  • Provide assistance to operations and engineering teams to solve plant problems or issues.
  • Support Operations Coordinator Maintenance in improving efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in implementing predictive maintenance strategies, including vibration analysis, lubrication analysis, thermography, and other condition monitoring practices.
  • Minimum certification of ISO VCAT1; TCAT / LCAT certification highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in energy production or distribution industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems, SAP experience highly regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively across the business.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Travel: Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required to other affiliated companies.
