Job Description - Conference and Sales Coordinator

Amora Hotel Brisbane located in the heart of the CBD has recently completed an extensive refurbishment.

We are seeking applications for a suitably experienced Conference and Sales Coordinator  to join our enthusiastic Sales and Marketing team.  This is a unique opportunity to join Amora Hotel Brisbane in a newly created role as we emerge as Brisbane’s newest and luxurious 5 star Hotel property. 

This role will coordinate every aspect of the Hotel's event planning with the dynamic conference and events sales team and provide administration support to the Sales and Marketing team.

About Your New Role:

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with the events team to assist with the completion of necessary administration behind the scenes of all the Hotel conferences, meeting, social events and functions
  • Proactively assist the marketing team with securing new business with accurate and timely proposals, contracts and site inspections
  • After inspecting the function space prior to an event, meet and greet the event organizer (client) in conjunction with the food and beverage operations team on arrival of the event 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to ensure all events run smoothly and provide high level client satisfaction
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional guest service

To be considered you will have:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a 5 star hotel environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Hotel food and beverage sales and events
  • Demonstrated knowledge using Salesforce and/or Delphi CRM  
  • Ability to work autonomously in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent presentation, and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills, multi-tasking ability and problem solving ability
  • Flexibility to work within a 7 day roster
