Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to oversee and maintain software configuration processes for our development and operational environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile Scrum practices, proficiency with Jira and GitHub, and expertise in managing configuration baselines, version control, and change management processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our systems remain consistent, secure, and efficient as we deliver high-quality IT solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage configuration management processes to maintain system integrity across development and production environments.
• Utilize tools like Jira and GitHub to track changes, manage version control, and ensure seamless integration across teams.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to ensure alignment between development workflows and configuration management processes.
• Establish and maintain configuration baselines and ensure all changes are appropriately documented and tracked.
• Create and manage branching strategies in GitHub to streamline software development and delivery.
• Monitor and audit configuration management activities to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Define and enforce policies for configuration identification, control, and status accounting.
• Facilitate change management processes, ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly and without disrupting ongoing operations.
• Generate configuration management reports and metrics to provide insights into project progress and system performance.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in configuration management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in configuration management processes.
• Proficiency in Jira, including workflow customization, project tracking, and reporting.
• Expertise in GitHub, including version control, branching strategies, and repository management.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and DevOps principles.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools to streamline configuration management tasks (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Preferred certifications: Agile Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe Agilist), ITIL, or equivalent.
