Our client seeks a Construction Manager to work for their Tier 1 mining client on a $1Bil brownfields project. Initially Perth based with a transition to site in 2025.
The Role:
This position will be based in Perth for the next 10-12 months, working through the detailed engineering phase, before transitioning into a site role in 2025 for implementation. You will be responsible for the delivery of our construction strategy and plan, which is imperative to the projects success for delivering safely, on time and in budget.
This is a $1b brownfields project that involves the full modification and construction of associated processing infrastructure. You will be joining an established project team that have been part of this project since 2020 (study phase).
- Develop the construction delivery strategy, plan and timeline
- Proactively manage client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment to the company's goals and strategy
- Review and approve regularly updated and revised program from the client and contractors, ensuring scope changes are communicated and compliant
- Ensure that the proposed Construction methods, procedures and systems are developed safely and in line with plans, identifying risk along the way
About you: This position is suited to a white collar Construction Project Manager/Director, that is happy to work in Perth initially and transition to site later. The role involves a lot of stakeholder engagement and leadership to achieve the construction objectives, you will be a proven leader who is able to motivate the team and meet the client deadlines.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Construction/Project Management roles
- Extensive experience working in mining (iron ore), ideally working on >$100m value projects
- Knowledge and proven experience ideally with wet plants and associated infrastructure
- Project Management and Delivery experience in both a Perth and Site based role
- Quality and safety focused, someone who can meet the objectives without compromising quality
- Knowledge of current safety legislation and standards in the construction and mining sectors
