  • Awareness of indigenous customs and community expectations in considering how best to look after, admit or discharge indigenous patients.

  • Regular review of patients, together with doctors in training with a focus on quality of care and discharge planning, ensuring that the medical record is accurately updated after each review.

  • Clinical review and management of patients referred to hospital outpatient services, with a focus on returning the patient to the care of their GP or primary care provider at the earliest opportunity.

  • Support and liaison with patients and their careers, together with other clinical staff and health care providers, to provide coordinated multidisciplinary care.

You will hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and have appropriate training and experience across acute care, day hospital and outpatient services, as well as rehabilitation and restorative care.
