The Company
One of the largest private property groups in Australia.
They project manage major commercial, retail and residential refurbishment, fit out and internal re-structure projects working with some key tier one organisations.
The Role:
Immediate requirement for a “Contract Administrator” or “Assistant Project Manager” or “Project Co-Ordinator” who has 3 years post grad construction or fit out project experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager and working closely with team members, managers and leads to help deliver projects successfully.
- Working closely with architects, Project managers, Engineers, vendors to ensure goals are met.
- Preparing and reviewing submissions and reports.
- Developing in depth understanding of project scope – time frames, financials and outcomes.
- Sharing relevant documentation and reports to relevant teams.
- Estimate the cost of new projects and tender submissions. Draft scope of works in client fee proposals.
- Liaison and negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare subcontractor packages.
- Manage subcontractor claims & variations.
- Manage and track project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims.
- Administer OHS system, QA, site folders and maintain defects register.
- Provide project administrative support to Project Managers and Site Supervisors.
- Collate final handover documentations from contractors and supplier to achieve practical completion / OC.
Experience required to apply:
- Degree in Construction management or similar.
- Previous experience working on commercial fit out or construction projects either client side or contractor side.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
