About the role:
Our client is a leader in the A.I and aeronautical space. They are going through a substantial scale-up phase and as a result, we are on the lookout for an accomplised Control Engineer.
As a Control Engineer, you will design solutions for understanding the world from multiple noisy data streams. Your work will be at the intersection of materials technology, optical science, software development, and engineering design for autonomy and AI systems. In this role, your experience and enthusiasm will guide creative solutions, with a need to research and review the state-of-the-art.
About you:
- You are passionate about Computer Vision technology.
- You have strong expertise in optimisation and geometry.
- You have expertise in writing high-performance numerical algorithms.
- You have a written production software/engineering background.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement state estimation algorithms.
- Interfacing control methodologies with computer vision and machine learning algorithms.
- Building and validating methods for understanding whole system performance.
- Optimising code with a focus on real-time processing and computational efficiency.
Your experience and skills:
- 5+ years of experience working with geometric optimisation problems.
- Five or more years of experience in software development.
- Qualification in control theory, mathematics, physics or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of C / C++ or Rust and can write high performance code.
- Strong understanding of linear algebra fundamentals.
