As a Cook at GYG, you will be at the heart of our mission to serve up the best Mexican food experience. Following the GYG recipe guide, your role will see you working with fresh ingredients and vibrant Mexican flavors, delivering quality creations for our new and loyal guests.  ​

We are open 7 days a week and we need an experienced Cook with availability on Weekdays, with some evenings, the typical shift work hours can be from 5am or 2pm.

Job Description

• Availability required for morning and night shifts - at least 4 Shifts per Week
• Weekend shifts on occasions
• Experience cooking in a commercial kitchen environment will be highly regarded
• You will learn the fundamentals of our Food in a key support role to the FOH Team
• Ordering, Receipt of Goods, Stocktakes and Food Safety is key to this role
• This role will require of you to love preparing food with excellence in a fun, fast-paced environment
• Regular check-ins with the Line Team to ensure they have adequete fresh product to serv our customers - never being short of product
• Maintain and orderly BOH including all Storage and Preparation Areas
• Maintain the Washup and cooking utensil space
• Some equipment maintenance tasks
