Cook / Chef

About the role:

We are looking for like-minded, enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our vibrant cafe.

DESIRED SKILL

• Experienced in the kitchen as a cook/ chef.
• Attention to detail for perfect recipes.
• Efficiently managing time during busy hours.
• Maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
• Collaborating with other chefs, cooks and kitchen staff. 
• Effectively conveying orders and instructions among kitchen staff. 
• Understanding and meeting customer preferences and needs. 
• Knowledge of cost control, inventory management and budgeting. 
• Designing and planning diverse and appealing menus. 
• Understanding of food safety and kitchen hazard prevention. 
• Working hour: minimum of 38 hour/week. Also, must have flexibility to work on a rotating roster including public holidays and weekends as well.

• 2 valid references

• Exceptional communication skills
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Creative flair and a passion for food.
• Certificate III or Certificate IV (Commercial Cookery) and at least 2 years' experience(desired but not required)
• A Diploma of Hospitality and at least 2 years' experience (desired but not required)

** If you do not hold a qualification, you must demonstrate a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.

All above criteria must be met to apply. 

A salary between $70,000- $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidates. (Negotiable for right candidate)
