  • Coordinate education and training initiatives as part of the Centre for Education and Training team in relation to clinical deterioration and resuscitation, driving quality improvement, accreditation readiness and governance

  • Excellent permanent part-time 64 hrs a fortnight


 


 


About the role


The Clinical Deterioration and Resuscitation Co-ordinator is a key clinical education leadership role responsible for advancing workforce capability in recognising and responding to clinical deterioration and resuscitation across the organisation. Working within the Centre for Education and Training (CET), you will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of evidence-based education programs, simulation training, and quality improvement initiatives that support clinical excellence, patient safety, and compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. This role is ideal for an experienced clinician and educator who is passionate about developing others, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.


 




Key responsibilities 





  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve organisation-wide education programs in resuscitation, clinical deterioration, and simulation-based learning, ensuring alignment with national standards, governance requirements, and best practice.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to educators and clinical teams to deliver evidence-based, competency-focused education, simulation, and assessment that strengthens clinical capability and patient safety.

  • Monitor education outcomes, compliance, and workforce capability using data, audits, and evaluation to inform continuous improvement, accreditation, and organisational reporting.

  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams, clinical leaders, educators, and external stakeholders to promote interprofessional learning, embed education into clinical practice, and support innovation, research, and evidence-informed care.




 




What we’re looking for 





  • Current AHPRA registration (mandatory), postgraduate qualification in Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing, with recent acute clinical experience and demonstrated clinical excellence.

  • Qualifications or experience in education, including healthcare simulation training (minimum NHET-Sim or equivalent), sound knowledge of adult learning principles, and a commitment to evidence-based education and ongoing professional development.

  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, lead change, build capability, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, proficiency in information technology systems, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
