Copywriter & Social Specialist - Innovative Company

The Mark Agency is looking for a copywriter who specialises in social media and content creation to join our team. Someone who is passionate about writing as their craft. Someone who loves coming up with ideas. Someone who can write in authentic bespoke language for every client’s unique identity and their communities.

You must be proactive and have excellent writing skills. You’ll need to know what content works across different social platforms and be able to adapt to writing for different brands. You must understand what Tone of Voice works for different brands and be able to switch gears depending on the audience you are talking to. You need to understand the importance of interacting directly with consumers. Experience of working to tight deadlines, community management and a knowledge of social platforms are a must, along with feeling confident about working with clients directly.

As part of this role, you’ll be working on some exciting, large agency portfolio brands and creating copy that will be seen both locally and nationally. Working alongside our planning and creative teams, you’ll have the opportunity to bring ideas worth talking about to life in a vibrant and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the marketing objectives and translate this to clear, concise copy.
• Contribute ideas to wider communication projects within the department including but not limited to PR and website content.
• Support Creative Strategist and Planning teams in developing content and creative presentations for the client
• Craft consistently brilliant copy for distribution across social media channels, digital campaigns and wider digital platforms where required.
• Handle the day-to-day community management for brands, engaging with multiple communities across multiple channels.
• Maintain monthly content planning calendars and publishing toolkits for multiple clients.
• Work with the design team to brief in content creation aligning with the content calendar.
• Monitor key campaign metrics and optimise content based on audience insights.
• Be a guardian of your clients’ tone of voice - ensuring the quality of copy and content remains high across all accounts you are responsible for.
• Finding story hooks and insights for your client portfolio
• Create digital campaign messaging and creative to shape behaviour and drive leads.
• Look for ways to grow client portfolios.
   

What are we looking for?

• Experience in writing copy for advertising agencies or media
• High level of proactivity and organisation to manage multiple clients and meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience of writing copy for a range of audiences, across a variety of tone, style, attitude, and formats
• Demonstrable community management experience
• Finger on the pulse of cutting-edge social trends
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Someone with the ability to interpret brand Tone of Voice and the different audiences our brands are trying to reach.
• A flair for storytelling across multiple platforms.
• Be a great listener, and learner and always be open to direction.
• Sound knowledge of social platforms and the best practices on each. Experience using content scheduling platforms is desirable.
• Someone who will positively contribute to our agency’s culture and sense of teamwork.
