Corporate Accountant

The Company

PSG is currently working with a growing mining company seeking a Mandarin speaking Corporate Accountant based at their Perth CBD office.

 

The Role

The company is seeking an enthusiastic all-rounder Corporate Accountant to join their motivated and results driven team in supporting operations. This role will ensure compliance and reporting for the following key areas: capital projects; fixed assets; tenements; stock and inventory; exploration and evaluation; mine development; and rehabilitation provision accounting.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Preparation of month end accounting entries; month end Journals, recharges, accruals, prepayments etc.
• Preparation of Profit & Loss statements and analysis of monthly budget vs actual
• Preparation of balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Assist with external and internal audits
• Assist in ATO and other government authority’s compliance such as preparation of BAS, FBT, payroll tax, fuel tax rebate, mine rehabilitation fund (MRF) levy, withholding tax, royalties for the group
• Assist during budget/forecast time in compiling information for budgets.

 

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills & experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification, CPA/CA Qualified.
• At least 3 years’ experience as an Accountant or external auditor from public practice
• High level of attention to detail, analytical ability, and proven technical accounting skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and inter-personnel skills
