Our graduate program:  

Our 18-month Graduate Program, Foundations, has been uniquely designed to bridge the gap between formal education and the workforce, establishing a clear path for your future and accelerated success. As a BMD team member, you will develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking, innovation and team building.

BMD graduates are offered a career path with adequate support systems in place to encourage growth and individual contributions. We offer structured on-the-job training, learning and development plans designed for growth, and unique access to business leaders for mentoring. 

What to expect:  

As part of the national corporate services team, you’ll gain hands-on experience honing your skills to develop and implement innovative strategies in a fast-paced and close-knit team environment.Collaboration is critical to supporting the delivery of progressive engineering and transformative infrastructure. 

Our corporate services team have departments in Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Proposals, Business Systems, Information Technology, Finance and Accountancy, and you will have the chance to work alongside leaders and like-minded professionals in your prospective industry. 

Our industry leading Graduate Program is designed to set you up for a long and successful career – by building a solid foundation. Here’s what to expect:

• kick off with a three-day all expenses paid conference on the Gold Coast with your peers 
• engage in structured learning through three tailored modules on topics designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and leadership skills 
• experience exciting hands-on and in person learning every six months to build relationships and network with your peers from across the country 
• receive mentoring from BMD’s Board of Directors, executive management team and emerging leaders who genuinely want to build your leadership qualities and help you progress through the ranks 
• see inspiring presentations from industry experts to build your skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork.

What we need from you:  

• Undertaking/completion of tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Marketing or Communications, Information Technology, Finance and Accountancy (graduating in 2024or mid-2025). 
• Strong decision-making and communication skills, creative thinking and willingness to work collaboratively with others at all levels across our diverse workforce. 
• Resilience and enthusiasm to achieve positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

• May to June – Submit your 10-minute application including CV and academic transcript 
• June to July – Shortlisted candidates are contacted to attend an interview with our senior leaders 
• July to August – Formal offers to join BMD’s graduate program
