In this high-impact role, you will lead our passionate team in the Finance team as well as partnering with leaders and teams across the organisation.

The Cost Accountant is responsible for manage cost accounting functions, including cost analysis, budgeting and inventory valuation. This role delivers timely & accurate product costings, monitoring operational efficiencies, and supporting strategic decision-making with recommendations on margin opportunities.

The role will involve EPD/NPD costings, quarterly pricing reviews and margin analysis, ERP standard costs maintenance and inventory valuation.

What you will do:

• Analyse and monitor product costs, raw material costs, and overheads to ensure accurate standard costing.
• Accurate and timely preparation of new product costings
• Weekly reporting on cost variance analysis to standards and investigate any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing and operational costs.
• Conduct margin analysis by product line and suggest improvements for cost efficiency.
• Manage inventory valuation and control; work closely with warehouse and production teams.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by providing necessary cost data.
• Implement and maintain cost control procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to optimize cost flows.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the supply chain.
• Prepare reports for senior management on profitability, pricing strategies, and product cost breakdowns.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CMA preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in an FMCG environment / Food Industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics BC).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
