Credit Analyst (Syndicate Loans)

  • One year contract with potential for conversion to a full-time position 
  • 38 hours per week
  • Sydney, close to Wynyard railway station
  • $ 58,000 + overtime and allowances + superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Proposal Preparation:

  • Develop detailed loan proposals following the bank's prescribed format and comprehensive credit appraisal guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements of both the home and host countries, clearly documenting any exceptions or deviations.
  • Efficiently manage the proposal process, including submission for review and approval in accordance with authority levels.

Due Diligence and Risk Appraisal:

  • Perform thorough initial due diligence processes, including KYC, financial, legal, and technical assessments for potential borrowers.
  • Assess and evaluate risks associated with new loan proposals, ensuring prompt submission for decision-making.

Financial Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the AVP in conducting detailed Credit Risk Analysis, including the scrutiny of financial statements and ratio analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret company financials to benchmark against the bank's set performance standards.

Reporting and Reviews:

  • Compile and present quarterly and annual loan reviews, focusing on the borrowers' performance as reflected in their audited financial statements.

Communication and Correspondence:

  • Handle communications with borrowers and syndicated lenders, including the issuance of rollover notices, rate fixing advisories, and the collection of compliance and financial documents.

Credit Risk Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of credit proposals and gather crucial information, aiding in the decision-making process.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in finance, economics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in credit analysis, particularly in syndicate loans.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk analysis.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in both home and host countries.

The job will be full-time, with hours to be worked between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
