This role will support the management of AML/CTF compliance and prevention of financial crimes. This role will report to the Financial Crime Operations Team Leader.

Working in a start-up, means you get the opportunity to flex your skills in a variety of ways. We are agile and always willing to roll up our sleeves to get things done. You can, however, expect your day to day to be involved in the following:

  • Liaise with new clients and internal stakeholders to undertake and explain the onboarding process and determine what we will need to collect as part of onboarding
  • Review New Merchant Onboarding Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Periodic Review and name screening alerts; and maintenance and administration of CDD Records and Metrics
  • Conduct Customer screening including PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening and risk assessment
  • Contact clients in accordance with OCDD procedures to validate existing/update client KYC information
  • Work with our clients to provide approvals on their sub-merchants (as required)
  • Monitor AML/CTF and financial crime related issues, escalate potential high risk customers and suspicious activities and provide sufficient information for further review.
  • Assist with design, configuration and maintenance of AML/CTF on-boarding and due diligence processes
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in line with internal policies

What you’ll bring to the table

You will bring at least 2-3 years’ experience working on AML/CTF tasks and are confident with AML/CTF requirements and best practice in Australia. We want someone who is known for their strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills who is comfortable working in a busy, high volume, competitive commercial environment. You build rapport quickly with internal and external stakeholders and can successfully liaise to obtain further information as required. You are tech savvy and comfortable around MS Office suite and Google based applications.

Let’s not forget, you are proactive and willing to assist with designing, implementing and maintaining processes and supporting projects where you can. Your collaboration skills make you a valued member of the team and fundamentally a good colleague to work with.
