Job Description - Customer Service Internal Sales

Full-time SE Suburbs role for a customer service pro with strong coordination and sales support skills Your New CompanyHays Glen Waverley has partnered with a well-established client in the south-eastern suburbs who are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Service & Internal Sales Support professional. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and loves being the central point of support for a busy sales team.
Your New RoleYou will work closely with the Sales Team to manage customer enquiries, coordinate sales processes, monitor orders, and ensure accuracy across all customer touchpoints. This is a senior-level customer service role with strong sales administration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Sales Team with quotes, orders, and general administration
  • Assist with customer enquiries and service needs across internal and external channels
  • Maintain and update customer account information
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
  • Monitor orders and follow up on outstanding items
  • Process credits and adjustments as required
  • Make outbound calls to support customer relationships and follow up
  • Review customer account status and obtain approvals when needed
  • Contribute feedback and ideas for continuous improvement
  • Assist with supplier orders and goods return processes
  • Support planning and scheduling of product orders
  • Participate in safety training and follow quality procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and authority levels
  • What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Proven experience in customer service or internal sales
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience selling or cross-selling products or services (advantageous though not essential)
  • Customer-focused approach with a positive, professional attitude
  • Solid understanding of sales processes
  • Ability to quickly learn technical product information
  • Strong computer skills, including mufti screen navigation
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet KPIs and support sales performance
