This long-established public service organisation services millions of Victorians every year. With branches all over Victoria, they are vital in servicing their immediate community and the wider state by ensuring road safety for all licenced drivers and registered vehicles. They are currently seeking expressions of interest from multiple experienced customer service professionals to join their cluster of offices in Bundoora, Broadmeadows & Coolaroo in the capacity of Customer Service & Licence Testing Officers.

Your new role

As a Customer Service & Licence Testing Officer, you can expect a fast-paced and dynamic working environment. You will primarily be trained as a Licence Testing Officer, with the following duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting customers and determining the solutions to a variety of licencing and registration enquiries
• You will be extensively trained on how to conduct licence tests and vehicle inspections.
• Licence testing involves being out on the roads with learner drivers, instructing them on a pre-determined test route and assessing their driving ability.
• Providing feedback to applicants upon return to the office once their results have been processed

What you'll need to succeed

• Recent experience in a fast-paced customer-facing role
• A full and valid Victorian driver's licence (no P-plates), with minimal demerit point loss
• You will have a high attention to detail and possess excellent time management skills.
• Full availability from Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:30pm, and will have the ability to commit to on-call shifts before 9am
• The flexibility to work anywhere between 3-5 days (20-38 hours) each week
• Means and flexibility to travel between various locations in the Northern suburbs (Broadmeadows, Coolaroo, Bundoora)
• You must have the ability to work in both a seated and standing position, and be comfortable being seated in the back of a motor vehicle for drive tests.
• A spoken fluency in Arabic would be advantageous (but not essential) for this position.
