Job Description - Customer Service Officer

About the business

Established in 1996, Pattersons Insurerbuild has been servicing the insurance industry for 28 years, providing specialised insurance building repairs across Australia following an insurable event such as fire, flood, impact, storm, and malicious damage.

Customer Service Officers are involved in liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders including property owners, Insurers and Loss Adjusters delivering a high level of customer service. Due to the nature of the role, you will be skilled in working in a fast-paced environment, and able to empathise with our customers who have been impacted by events such as fire, storm, floods and more. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Be accountable for and be the driving force behind the coordination and management of a portfolio of Insurance related home repairs
  • Responsible for answering high volume incoming phone calls, as well as making outbound calls as required to fulfil daily tasks
  • Responsible for ongoing communication with numerous stakeholders such as home owners, Insurance companies and trades whilst adhering to both internal and external KPI's
  • Articulate professional written and verbal correspondence to stakeholders and third parties
  • Manage the full end to end building repair claims process
  • Coordinate and process the lodgement of incoming claims via client specific portals and/or email
  • Coordination of internal calendars and schedules
  • Achieve monthly sale targets and budgets
  • Upload documentation to meet internal and external compliance requirements and KPI targets
  • General errands and ad-hoc duties as required in a busy office

We’re looking for people with:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good computer skills and the ability to use multiple systems at once
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume office environment
  • Previous experience dealing with trades is an added advantage

This role will be subject to a successful National Police Check.
