Job Description - Customer Service Officer - Competitive Pay

We are looking to hire a versatile Customer Service Officer to join our elite team at Cowan Restoration Services Pty Ltd in Braeside, Melbourne VIC.

Are you a passionate Customer Service Officer or someone looking for a fresh start in a National company servicing the insurance industry?

 

The Cowan Restoration Group is looking for enthusiastic staff willing to join our Customer Service team in Braeside.       

Your responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Answering telephone calls 
  • Greeting visitors and accepting deliveries at the office
  • Understanding and meeting Insurer and internal Cowan Restoration Group Key Performance Indicators
  • Entering claims information into the Customer Relationship Management system and Insurer web portals
  • Provide invoicing assistance in relation to Insurer rates and matrices
  • Liaising directly with Insurance companies, Insured customers, and team members by phone and e-mail in relation to claims
  • Assistance with and participation on the after hours on call roster 
  • Undertaking any other duties and tasks as directed by management.

 

What are we looking for? 

 

  • Insurance experience (Preferred but not essential) 
  • Exceptional customer service 
  • Excellent ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Sound organisational skills including strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other ICT applications
  • Proven time-management skills
  • Excellent presentation and personal demeanour
  • Ability to remain calm and work well under pressure
  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to set and achieve KPI’s.
  • Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
