Customer Service Officer - Internal Sales

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer – Internal Sales to join our InfraBuild Reinforcing team. In this varied role, you’ll be a key point of contact for our customers, combining exceptional customer service with a proactive approach to internal sales.  You’ll build strong customer relationships, respond to sales enquiries, prepare and follow up quotes, process orders and identify opportunities to support customer needs and grow sales.

Working across our range of steel reinforcing solutions, you’ll support customers within the building, construction, mining, rural and industrial sectors while working closely with our broader sales and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, offering consistent hours, on the job training and the opportunity to develop your career within a supportive team environment.

What you will be doing: 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, providing responsive sales and service support


• Respond to customer enquiries over the phone and at the front counter, understanding their requirements and identifying suitable solutions


• Prepare accurate and timely quotes and proactively follow up with customers to convert opportunities into sales


• Process sales orders and maintain accurate information within our sales management system


• Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships and support ongoing sales activity


• Maintain accurate customer information, sales opportunities and activity within the CRM system


• Work closely with sales, operations and other teams to coordinate customer orders and support project delivery


• Complete general administration, including cash sales, account prepayments and credit note processing

What you will bring:

• Previous customer service, internal sales or sales support experience, ideally within an office or customer-facing environment


• A customer-focused and commercially minded approach, with the confidence to identify and follow up sales opportunities


• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills


• Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new systems


• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail


• The ability to prioritise and adapt to changing customer requirements in a fast-paced environment


• A proactive approach and genuine interest in building customer relationships and delivering positive sales outcomes
