Job Description - Customer Service Supervisor

Are you a Customer Service professional looking to take the next step in your career? Opal Packaging Plus based in Edinburgh, SA is seeking a dynamic and proactive customer service supervisor to join the team.

In this newly reshaped individual contributor role, you will own the branch customer service function, ensuring our daily operations run smoothly, any issues are resolved swiftly, and our customers receive an exceptional experience. This isn't just about answering phones; it's about leadership, cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.

You will contribute to the success of Opal Packaging Plus by:
  • Managing the end-to-end order process, monitoring KPIs, and overseeing back orders
  • Being the primary point of contact for complex queries and work closely with our warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure stock leaves the warehouse on time
  • Managing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), maintaining quality documentation, and identifying ways to improve processes
  • Supporting the sales team with quoting
  • Engaging our smaller customer accounts to develop and grow
  • Working with customers to educate and onboard them into our ECommerce platform

About you....

For this role we would like you to have:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to collaborate professionally across all levels of the business.
  • Experience in the packaging industry would be nice to have but not essential
  • This role is perfect for an experienced customer service professional ready to take ownership of a customer service function
