Customer Support Specialist

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will:

• Provide technical and product support to customers, dealers, service agents and field teams.


• Commission forestry machinery and support new product introductions.


• Deliver operator and technical training through practical demonstrations, workshops and one-on-one coaching.


• Travel to customer and dealer locations to investigate and resolve mechanical, electrical and performance issues.


• Help customers and dealers optimise machine performance and improve their overall product experience.


• Support technical cases and develop clear, timely solutions.


• Identify emerging product issues using field reports, warranty information, customer feedback and machine data.


• Contribute to product improvement activities and provide practical feedback to engineering, manufacturing and product teams.


• Participate in customer clinics, industry workshops, trade shows and equipment demonstrations.


• Build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, forest owners and other industry stakeholders.

About You

You are a practical and customer-focused technical professional who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems and helping others succeed.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience in forestry, product support, field service, heavy equipment or a related technical environment.


• Practical knowledge of forestry machinery or forestry operations.


• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.


• Experience operating, commissioning, maintaining or supporting machinery.


• The ability to investigate technical issues and follow them through to resolution.


• Experience delivering technical training, operator coaching or practical demonstrations.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly.


• A proactive, service-oriented approach with strong ownership and accountability.


• The ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams.


• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.

Forestry, mechanical or related technical qualifications would be highly regarded. Experience with connected machinery, digital support systems, telematics, adult training or project work would also be beneficial.

You do not need to know every Waratah or John Deere system from day one. What matters most is your practical experience, problem-solving ability, customer focus and genuine desire to help others.
