Data Analyst

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government department to recruit a Data Analyst contract to 08/08/2024 based at Ipswich and working from home.

In this role you will:

• Gain an understanding of the structure of Anticipating Future Skills employment projections and the underlying Australian Bureau of Statistics industry, occupation, education and regional hierarchies. 
• Review existing PowerPoint presentations used in testing and validation and provide advice about the design and appearance of dashboard(s) to meet JQ branding aesthetics and user accessibility guidelines.
• Upload and normalise AFS data in Power Query.
• Develop dashboard(s) to replace presentations and enable facilitator to display relevant data during testing and validation workshops.   
• Undertake quality assurance of dashboard(s) 
• Document the process of updating data and refreshing, publishing and accessing dashboard(s) for JQ staff.

You will have:

• Demonstrated expertise in design and development of Power BI dashboards containing a variety of visualisations.
• Demonstrated ability to use and develop Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to build measures for Power BI reports.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships in a data model. 
• Demonstrated experience with manipulating data in Excel.
• Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire, Australian Bureau of Statistics occupation, industry, education and regional classifications.  
• Demonstrated capacity to work professionally and effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines either independently or as a member of a team in a dynamic work environment.
