Data Analyst - Hiring Now

The Role

This is a newly created role where you will contribute to creative and innovative solutions to meet the data collection and analysis challenges of this area.
 
In this role you will get to :

• Work closely with stakeholders across the agency, other agencies and the overseas network to understand the information and data landscape to support the area’s objectives  
• Use analytical tools and techniques to process and analyse data sets.
• Transform analysis into compelling products that can influence and can be used by a broader audience 
• Provide data-driven advice to assist the Director and other teams to develop policy and strategies that support Australia’s international interests 
• Provide analysis and support to evaluate the implementation and performance of policies and programs. 

The Ideal Person

This role will suit you if you:

• Can work with and communicate effectively with business areas and non-technical stakeholders to understand their data and analysis requirements 
• Have a combination of data skills across the data analytics process from data collection, ETL, data wrangling, data cleaning, data mining, data visualisation and data presentation. Key tools you’ll have access to are Excel, Power BI, Python and R
• Hold an active NV1 or above (with the likelihood to be upgraded to an NV2 if required)

 Salary / Rate

This role is being offered as either an s26 transfer or 12 month non-ongoing at either the APS6 or APS5 level

Salary range between $85k - $107k + 15.4% super

Due to the nature of the work Australian Citizenship and an active NV1 or above clearance is mandatory
