About The Role 

This position will be able to choose between working at HMAS Cerberus or our Wodonga location. Data Analytic Lead will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decisions to support the national delivery of training for the Joint Technical Trades Training Services (JTTTS) contract to the Australian Defence Force.  

This key position will focus on enhancing data capabilities and creating targeted opportunities through insights and analytics. The Data Analytic Lead will be responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, developing, and maintaining data models, and reporting outputs to provide visibility of trends. By ensuring ongoing accuracy and reliability, this role will enable quality decision-making.  

Selected Duties: 

• Lead design of data analytic frameworks  
• Provide meaningful and interpretable insights, analysing relevant training and service delivery datasets and identifying trends and patterns. 
• Work with stakeholders to gather and define reporting requirements. 
• Collate, transform, and analyse data.  
• Creating dashboards and portlets to report findings and recommendations.  
• Apply strong Data security and privacy practices, working within an environment requiring strict protocols and handling sensitive data. 
• Handle complex ad hoc queries and requests.  

About You 

Skills & Experience 

• Bachelor qualification in Business Analysis, Data Science, or related field  
• Experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or similar field. 
• Experience in Data Programming Languages, tools, and techniques such as SQL Query language, ETL or equivalent.  
• Experience in Data Modelling and Data Presentation tools such as Power Bi 
• Must have or be able to obtain Victorian Working with Children Check  
• Must be able to obtain Baseline Security status. 
• Be willing to Travel.
