Job Description - Data Centre and Communications Rooms Engineer

Title: Data Centre and Communications Rooms Engineer
Division: Information Technology Services
Classification: ANU Officer Grade7(Information Technology)
Salary package: $97,707 - $102,600 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full time, Continuing Position
The Data Centre Operations Team is seeking an energetic and suitably qualified data centre and communications room engineer to support our small team in providing efficient and effective data centre and network room environment to the university community.

Reporting to the Data Centre Manager and working alongside the Senior Data Centre Engineer, the role will support a range of facilities management activities and projects within the University’s data centres and network room environments across its Acton and remote campuses. The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience across all areas of data centre operations, including but not limited to: power reticulation systems, UPS systems, cooling technologies, communications cabling, equipment racking, and environmental monitoring. They will have proven capabilities in delivering IT services to a diverse range of clients within a large campus setting, working both independently and in a team environment. Person

  • Experience in the higher education sector or similarly complex campus environment would be highly regarded.
