Data Engineer role supporting enterprise analytics and modern data platforms in critical infrastructure. Your new role As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, modelling and transforming complex datasets to support analytics, reporting and business decision-making. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design, build and maintain reliable, high-quality data solutions across multiple programs and projects. Key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing data pipelines, data models and analytics solutions across enterprise systems
Performing data acquisition, extraction, transformation and reporting in line with business requirements
Providing technical input into data architecture, infrastructure and solution design
Collaborating with stakeholders to determine optimal approaches to data reporting and analysis
Ensuring data quality, reliability, efficiency and compliance with security standards
Supporting ICT programs and projects through solution development and documentation
Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the data and analytics function
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Strong experience in data engineering, data modelling and analytics within complex environments
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (Oracle or similar)
Hands-on experience with data discovery and reporting tools such as Power BI, Qlik or similar
Experience designing and maintaining robust data pipelines and data sets
Understanding of statistical and analytical techniques
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience working across projects, including business requirements, documentation and solution delivery
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
