Data Scientist Analyst

What you'll do 

• Develop pricing recommendations and proposals that support portfolio performance and business objectives. 
• Apply machine learning and advanced analytical techniques to improve pricing outcomes. 
• Analyse customer, market and competitor data to provide actionable insights. 
• Monitor portfolio and model performance. 
• Partner with stakeholders to communicate insights. 
• Contribute to data transformation initiatives. 

What you'll bring 

• Experience with Python or R and SQL. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. 
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modelling. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Exposure to or understanding of common ML techniques: multivariate classification/regression, GLM, Lasso, tree-based models (CART, random forest, GBM), hypothesis testing, etc.
• Insurance experience is desirable but not essential. 
• Exposure to insurance products will be viewed favourably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative area (data science, statistics, actuarial, computer science, maths etc). 

• Master’s / PhD degree with good academic performance (desirable)
