Who are we? 

River City Cruises is a well-established Brisbane River Tour company that has been operating for over 25 years with cruises departing daily from South Bank. We offer our guests a relaxing environment accompanied by a historical commentary while taking in the sights of the city and other memorable landmarks along our way to Newstead from where we eventually make our way back upstream. 

What drives us is sharing the rich history of Brisbane and the importance of the Brisbane River to the City’s prosperity, with tourists as well as locals. All while delivering the best of what we have to offer: a friendly smile, an inviting chatter, and thoughtful service. 

What do we offer? 

An opportunity to work in a small, friendly, and relaxed working environment with lots of laughter and a great space to accrue sea time hours for your logbook or learn more about working in the maritime and tourism industry. Where each member is highly valued, and their voice is heard.

A seven-day flexible roster with few late nights that is released monthly, giving you ample time to plan for your time off. As our cruises are departing daily, we are seeking those who have a flexible schedule with greater availability during the weekends.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone well-presented with a go-getter attitude who takes pride in their role! You are great with people, a team player, reliable and preferably with previous experience as a deckhand in the tourism and hospitality industry.

You also have, or are willing to obtain these qualifications:

• RSA Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• General Purpose Hand Certificate or Coxswain Grade I
