Demi Chef - Banquets

As a Demi Chef  team at The Star Sydney, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside some of the most supportive Chefs whilst executing Sydney's most enviable events! No two days are ever the same.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the smooth execution of your allocated work-station
• Follow directions of the senior kitchen team
• Advise management of all stock requirements
• Conduct on-the-job training and mentoring for Commis, Cooks and Apprentice Chefs

What are we looking for:

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Full work rights and full time availability to work across a 7-day roster
• Previous experience working in a busy and fast-paced production environment (highly regarded)
• The ability to effectively and efficiently coordinate and work as part of the team
• Have a "can do" attitude and willingness to learn new cuisines and techniques
