Job Description: As a Dental Assistant at Port Douglas Dentist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care. You will work closely with our dentists and dental hygienists to provide chairside assistance, prepare treatment rooms, ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. Perform basic receptions tasks like answering the phone, making bookings and taking payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Record patients’ medical history, and treatment information.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
• Assist in the management of dental emergencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Dental Assistant course is preferred but not required. We will provide training for the right candidate.
• Current CPR certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• A strong sense of responsibility and reliability in all tasks.
• A dedicated approach to providing excellent patient care and contributing to a positive team environment.
