We're seeking experienced Design Architects who can design via design tools to bring projects from design-sketch to life.

This design-focused, contemporary architectural practice in Melbourne has an outstanding reputation across all various project typologies from Commercial, Infrastructure, Multi-Residential, Public & Institutional buildings, to Hospitality and Aviation. The studio has brought in some of the most talented architects, urban planners, interior designers, graphic designers, researchers, and digital visualisation experts across their global offices. They continuously seek the brightest minds to innovate around design, process, and typology. This role has become available due to their advancement in their internal design processes, hence the creation of this new role for an experienced Design Architect who has a strong eye for design, and ideally be able to design on the tools.
Your new role
We are looking for an experienced Design architect with a passion for design and a creative mindset to drive design initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in executing design ideas and plans via design programs and tools. You will collaborate and work alongside with key Directors of the studio, championing the designs across different typologies, and to ensure the design is effectively communicated and resonates with the studio's DNA.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 5 years' experience post-registration
- Previous experience of providing design input for internal designs across multiple typologies (Portfolio of work is essential part of the selection criteria)
- Direct client liaison, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and other key stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management with ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to build effective relationships
- Ability to solve problems and provide solutions
- Adaptable and forward-thinking
- Full design, design documentation, and documentation
- Involvement in and being aware of the fee structure for projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Sketchup, Enscape, Revizto, Dynamo, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Registration with ARBV
