Job Description - Design Consultant

Role type:  Full-time; 12 months Fixed Term  

Department/School: Student and Scholarly Services 

Salary: UOM 6 - $100,847 - $109,163per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Your next career opportunity 

As a Design Consultant within the Student Communications team, you will have the opportunity to produce on-brand visual assets across various platforms, including web, social media, and print. Collaborating closely with colleagues and clients, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing student services and engagement. Your expertise in visual design and digital communications will drive the delivery of impactful content, contributing to the University's strategic goals. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Create and maintain student focused campaigns and assets: Develop engaging visual content for diverse channels such as web, email, print and social media within the University of Melbourne Brand guidelines. 

  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work with stakeholders to align communications with business goals and the Student Communications Framework. 

You may be a great fit if: 

You will have significant experience in graphic design and visual communications, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver effective training. 

You may also have: 

  • Possess an undergraduate qualification in visual design and/or digital communications, or equivalent experience. 

  • Have a strong track record in creating best practice, on-brand visual assets across various channels. 

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Exhibit high-level planning and organisational abilities. 

  • Possess UX/UI design skills.
