Mid-Level Interior Architect / Interior Designer
Full-time - 40 hours a week

AGC Interior is a design and fit out company based in Regents Park, NSW specialising in commercial projects.

We are looking for a Professional Interior Architect with experience in the built environment industry and is available to work on a full time basis.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team with a focus on commercial projects encompassing design, drafting, and compliance. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of the design process, including 3D modelling, rendering, drafting of plans, elevations, details, and shop drawings. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in specification, material sourcing, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:-
1. Commercial Projects Design and Drafting:

• Engage in the conceptualization and development of design solutions for commercial spaces.
• Have an advanced skill in Autocad and execute precise drafting tasks, including plans, elevations, details, and shop drawings, adhering to industry standards and project requirements.

2. 3D Modelling and Rendering:

• Utilise advanced skills in SketchUp and V-Ray software to create realistic and visually appealing 3D models and renderings.
• Enhance project presentations and communication through high-quality visual representations.

3. Material Specification, Sourcing, and Ordering:

• Collaborate with the design team to identify suitable materials and finishes for projects.
• Facilitate the sourcing and procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials within budget constraints.

4. Support for Design and Construction Teams:

• Assist design and construction teams throughout various project phases, providing technical expertise and coordination support.
• Contribute to the seamless integration of design concepts into construction documentation and implementation.

5. Client Communication and Collaboration:

• Address client feedback and incorporate revisions to ensure alignment with expectations and objectives.

6. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:

• Aid in the preparation and lodgement of CDC/DA/CC applications through liaising with private certifiers and local councils.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards throughout the design and approval process.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of demonstrated experience in the Australian interior design industry, with a focus on commercial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with advanced skills in producing accurate and detailed drawings.
• Expertise in SketchUp and V-Ray software, showcasing the ability to create sophisticated 3D models and renderings.
• Genuine passion for design and construction, demonstrated through a portfolio of completed projects and personal initiatives.
• Exceptional organisational abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet project deadlines.

While proficiency in Mandarin is not a mandatory requirement, it is highly preferred due to the significant number of Mandarin-speaking customers we serve.
