Design/Project Engineer

Our South East Melbourne based client is an Australasian engineering solutions provider with expertise in design, supply, and installation of solutions for the waste and recycling industries.This is a challenging role that offers you the opportunity to build your technical knowledge of solutions in the waste and recycling industries. You will be on working with manufacturing teams to provide solutions for waste recovery and handling systems..
Following AUSTRALIAN DESIGN CODES you will identify, qualify, and select equipment providing technical input, cost estimates, and provide guidance for the fabrication trades and site contractors. The engineer role involves:

• Design & Project management
• Fabrication and FAT

You have:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Waste handling and recycling knowledge
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Drafting experience (Solidworks) and proficiency in computer programs
• Use of MS Office (Excel, Word,Project)

Your success will be in your ability to develop relationships focused on solving heavy materials handling problems delivering on design, engineering, and manufacturing solutions. A personable attitude and willingness to assist with sales and customer service is essential.
