About the role

Leadership: The Manager for this role is Nicholas Ross.  Nicholas is based in the US and is a Program Manager for our Managed Solutions.  Insight is honoured to provide Global Support to a prestigious financial services organisation and Nicholas manages the Global Support team.  You will also have an APAC Team Leader, Syed Usman.

As Desktop and Trade Floor Support, you will work onsite at our client’s office in Sydney CBD to provide face-to-face support to their Trade team.   We will count on you to provide 2nd and 3rd level advanced product support and remediation of incidents in the clients’ environment. This includes proactive and preventative maintenance along with client infrastructure upgrades.

Support provided will include the following:

• Desktop and Trade Floor Support across APAC Region
• Support for MS Office 365 Apps, Windows operating systems, Active Directory 
• VDI Platform support
• Phone and Network Cable Patching
• Video Conference Meeting Setup  
• Set up or Move/Add/Change desktop, laptop, and printers
• Troubleshooting Market Data Applications such as Bloomberg, Eikon, Wind Terminal
• Manage and Setup Firm mail on user’s mobile devices 
• Citrix Director Administration

What we’re looking for

• Excellent communication, presentation and customer relationship building skills
• Extensive experience in a similar position, supporting both Desktop and Trade Floor Applications for a large Financial Services organisation
• Tertiary qualifications in IT
• Ability to work in the office 5 days per week and occasional weekend work for moves, adds and changes (time in lieu provided).
