Level 1-3 Support Engineer | Permanent Position | South West Sydney Your new company You'll be joining a well-established organisation with an internal IT function supporting day-to-day business operations. The business offers a stable environment where technology is critical to keeping teams productive and connected. This is a permanent, onsite position where IT is valued as a trusted enabler rather than a reactive service. Your new role As a Desktop / Network Support Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering reliable IT services across the organisation. You will provide Level 1-3 IT support, with the role focused on Level 1 and Level 2 work, while also supporting selected Level 3 issues and contributing to infrastructure improvements and projects. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone with a broad technical skillset spanning end-user support, infrastructure, and networking. You'll work autonomously, take ownership of issues end-to-end, and support both people and systems in a practical, on-the-ground environment. Key responsibilities include:
Providing desktop and network support across the business
Troubleshooting hardware, software, access, connectivity, and Wi-Fi issues
Performing laptop builds, refreshes, device replacements, and on-site fixes
Supporting Microsoft 365, including user and access administration
Diagnosing and resolving network and Wi-Fi issues to maintain business continuity
Managing incidents and requests through a ticketing system
Supporting mobile devices and MDM tools where required
Contributing to infrastructure upgrades, standardisation, and improvement projects
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you'll bring a well-rounded IT background and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
Proven experience delivering Level 2 support, with some Level 3 exposure
Strong hands-on desktop support experience (hardware, software, and endpoints)
Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments
Practical networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting skills
Exposure to routers and firewalls (e.g. Cisco, UniFi/Ubiquiti, Palo Alto desirable)
Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities
