Your new role As a Desktop Services Technician (Level I or II), you'll play a key role in delivering day-to-day desktop and end-user support across a corporate environment. You'll be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining desktop hardware and software, resolving technical issues, and ensuring staff receive timely and effective support. Level II technicians will also contribute to documentation, standards, process improvement and moderate-complexity IT projects. The role may involve occasional on-call support and limited travel between office locations. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you'll bring hands-on experience in a desktop support role and a strong customer-service mindset. You'll also demonstrate:
Experience supporting Windows desktop environments in an enterprise setting
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and peripherals
Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Office, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
Working understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
Experience managing and resolving tickets via an ITSM / Service Desk tool
Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users
Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification (or equivalent experience)
