About the Role:
ALS Environmental have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Despatch Assistant to join a close-knit and dedicated team in Scoresby, Melbourne.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating logistics, managing inventory, and building strong relationships with suppliers and lab teams.

To be successful, we’re looking for strong communication and data entry skills, a logistical mindset, and eagerness to lend your hand where required. With a health and safety approach, it is also necessary to hold or obtain a forklift license to assist the movement of stock inventory and materials across facilities. Please note that you will be required to lift up to 15kg and will require long periods on your feet.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4.00pm.

The Day to Day:

• Bottle preparation and QC checks

• Ensuring customer bottle orders are maintained to a high level

• Organising despatch and receipt of freight (bottle orders and samples). 

• Sample pickup from designated customer sites

• Clear communication to ensure we meet customer’s needs.

• Packing of orders

• Receival of goods, including the use of a forklift

• Maintaining the warehouse to ensure safe access and storage.

• Other duties as requested relating to this position

The Essentials:

• Preferably, previous experience working in a production, manufacturing, warehousing or similar environment.

• Strong communication and customer service skills – in person, email and phone.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible and adaptable as priorities change.

• Current driver’s license.

• Hold or able to obtain a forklift ticket/license.

• Basic degree or a Certificate in supply chain /logistics / warehousing will be an advantage.
