Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.  In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to assist at our Capcoal Surface Operations.

Your Trade qualification in Diesel fitting, demonstrated experience within an open-cut coal mobile maintenance (workshop) environment, solid understanding of the coal mining process and relevant legislation with strong interpersonal skills are essential to the role.



You will possess experience on mobile mine site equipment (Komatsu 830E, CAT 793D, CAT 785C Trucks, CAT D11 & D10 Dozers, CAT 18M & 24M Graders, CAT 777D & 777F Water Trucks and WA900 Loaders etc).



You will be enjoy the challenge of maintaining equipment, diagnosing problems, implementing preventative maintenance and have extensive hydraulic skills.

• Full-time, permanent role, 7 On 7 Off day and night shift
