Job Description - Digital Assessment Delivery Unit Manager
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students 0 to 18 years. An exciting opportunity exists to join the Assessment and Reporting Division in the Digital Assessment Delivery Unit for a full-time, ongoing position.The role will facilitate the operation and support of online digital platforms that provide classroom assessments (and related services) to Victorian schools and early childhood centres.The unit provides services to support business units in the VCAA and the Department of Education, as well as providing online assessments to Victorian schools across all sectors (including the Digital Assessment Library and Insight suites). As required, the unit also supports projects to further improve the digital experience of students and educators.Overseeing a small team, your key responsibilities include:day-to-day operation and oversight of digital assessment platforms ensuring continuity of service delivery, management of suppliers and helpdesk functionsupport of assessment owners to maintain and facilitate improvements in deliveryoverseeing business changes arising from technology improvements including underlying platform changes and enhancementsproviding authoritative advice on the delivery of digital assessment and related services to stakeholders including senior management.A key immediate focus of the role will be consolidating the provision of digital assessments by the VCAA into a single online platform to improve the user experience for schools in Victoria. A second focus will be a supporting the implementation of a new in development online information service for senior secondary school students.About YouYou will bring strong technology expertise along with the ability to appropriately plan and implement change.
