The opportunity

As the Digital Content & Platform Specialist you will be supporting digital communication platforms and reporting and insights for our website, intranet, internal email communications and social media channels.

In this role you will be working in the Group Brand, Content & Digital team that sits within Group Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, working closely with these teams and with other Group functional teams as well as our regional divisions.

This hands-on role will focus on ensuring we manage our platforms in a way that engages and unites around our brand message and brings QBE’s strategic priorities to life whilst supporting business objectives, good governance, and risk management.

Your new role

In this role you will:

  • Support the day-to-day content management and scheduling for our digital platforms, including the QBE Group and QBE Ventures websites, our QBE Group Intranet, Group internal emails and Group and AUSPAC social media channels.

  • Monitor platform performance and recommended enhancements related to site performance, SEO, and accessibility and readability 

  • Implement SEO strategies and best practices to increase organic traffic and improve search engine ranking on our Group and Ventures websites.

  • Deliver analytics and insights reports as required for channel leads and business stakeholders.

  • Provide support and troubleshoot content and platform management-related issues raised by other content managers.

  • In collaboration with the channel leads, own and optimise governance processes related to content approvals, management and best-practice to manage risk.

  • Contribute to our team strategy and help to shape future iterations of our strategy and processes.

Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2/3 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks.

About you

To be successful as a Digital Content & Platform Specialist you will have extensive experience in writing and content management, and a passion for great content, great digital experiences, new ideas, continuous improvement and innovation.

You will also have:

  • Prior experience working in content/platform management.

  • Proficiency using Content Management Systems (CMS) – Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager or Microsoft SharePoint preferred

  • Experience using digital analytics and SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Analytics Tag Manager and Google Search Console), interpreting data, generating insights and making data-drive recommendations.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle competing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills that see you build collaborative relationships across all levels/divisions of the organisation

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence
