• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Daily Rate: Up to $1,000 + Super per day (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Designer to join a forward-thinking digital innovation function focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for both customers and internal stakeholders to drive high impact innovative experiences.
This role will suit someone who thrives at the intersection of service design, emerging technology and human-centred problem solving, and who enjoys taking ideas from early discovery through to tangible delivery.

The opportunity
You will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative digital initiatives, working across research, design and experimentation. Acting as a trusted advisor to delivery teams and business stakeholders, you will help define problems, explore opportunities and test new approaches, with a strong emphasis on modern technologies and a focus on AI.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an organisational expert on AI, advising business units of what's possible, helping them shape proof of concepts, building proof of concepts, running pilots, evaluating results, and if successful working with project teams to deliver production ready products.
• Lead end-to-end service design engagements, from discovery and research through to design, prototyping and delivery
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints and co-creation sessions to uncover insights and validate solutions
• Design and develop prototypes, wireframes and proof-of-concepts to test ideas quickly and effectively
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, particularly AI, and guide teams on practical applications
• Build strong relationships across technology, design and delivery teams to embed customer-centred ways of working

About you

• Strong background in service design, human-centred design and design research within complex organisations
• You will have a deep understanding of AI and be able to fluently use the latest platforms to prototype, develop and evaluate AI solutions.
• Proven experience applying design thinking and lean methodologies to solve ambiguous problems
• Practical understanding of AI technologies, with hands-on experience prototyping or evaluating AI-enabled solutions
• Confident leading streams of work and making evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid understanding of enterprise technology environments and delivery constraints
