Digital Sourcing Advisor

• 6 Month Contract + 2 X 12 Month Extension

Our Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking to engage a Senior Digital Sourcing Advisor to provide specialist advice and expertise to modernisation and transformation programs.

Employing sound judgement and expert level advice in the interpretation of the rules, policies and intent of government, the Digital Sourcing Advisor will contribute to strategic and operational goals to ensure quality outcomes for government, buyers, and sellers, and increase the DTAs reputation as a trusted source of digital and ICT sourcing advice and services.

The Digital Sourcing Advisor will:

• Contribute to activities of the Agency's Digital Sourcing Modernisation Programs, Marketplaces and Whole of Government Agreements which enhance procurement to contract pathways and drive greater value for money outcomes across government and industry;
• You will use your strong engagement, facilitation, and networking skills to drive capability uplift;
• You will lead working groups of agency participants to help tackle some of Digital Sourcing's most challenging pain points and work with strategy leads in the Agency to position sourcing as a lever to help implement the governments digital agenda;
• Be the point of contact between Digital Sourcing Policy and Digital Sourcing Practice withing the Agency.
• Provide trusted second level sourcing advice and problem solving to the Agency's Customer Support team and to agencies.
• You will be committed to implementing lasting cultural change and driving agency support for the government's commitment to changing digital sourcing culture and practices.

Essential criteria

• Deep working knowledge of the government procurement environment. E.g., the application of CPRs, AAIs, the PGPA Act and government policies;
• Proven ability to provide accurate advice on sourcing and technology issues;
• Proven ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders across industry and government agencies. Proven experience leading the preparation of senior executive level written briefs;
• Experience working across government on capability uplift or other change programs;
• Willingness to adapt to, and advocate for new processes, cultural practices and ways of working;
• Practical large scale contract management experience. Practical experience working in a multi discipline team using an agile approach. Able to manage own time effectively to meet deadlines in the delivery of outcomes.
