Diploma Qualified Child Care Educators

 City Community Children's Centre is a community based service located in the CBD near bus and tram lines. We are seeking enthusiastic & motivated educators who would like to join our team. Our service is committed to small group sizes in all age groups. Successful applicants must be able to work between 7am & 6pm for any permanent positions.

                                         Permanent Team Leader position 10% above award

                                                                     in our under twos group

Full-time Team Leader Diploma Position - We are looking for a Team Leader who has proven leadership and a genuine interest and experience in working with under twos. Our Under Twos group size is 8 to 12 children up to approximately 2 years of age. 

The position requires that the applicant must be Qualified and completed their Diploma. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the age group, an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework & have well developed written & verbal communication skills. The person will be responsible for the co-ordination of the room & programming.  A cover letter & resume is required. 

Diploma position 

Permanent Part-time position

This is a recently developed position and will require the person to do a late shift, finishing at 6pm. The position is  currently paid 5% above Award.  Please state your preference of age group and work experience. The successful applicant must have some experience in Early Years learning setting and developed communication skills as a major part of their role will be liaising with families at the end of the day.

A cover letter & resume is required.

 The following is required for both positions:

• Approved Early Years Diploma (or working towards for Part time position)
• Developed communication skills 
• Working knowledge of the Early years learning Framework and Legislation
• Professionalism
• Experience in writing individual children's plans and observations
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate, Police Clearance, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and current Safe environment Training on commencement

Casual relief

We are seeking Casual relief educators to join our relief list for next year. 

Both Diploma & Educators with Certificate 3 are encouraged to apply for relief. Students with specific days available are welcome to apply for relief.

 Please be clear about your qualification and availability in your application. Relief positions are casual not set hours and is pendant on our services needs & bookings.  Permanent applicants must be available to work across the opening hours. The above paper work is required for all positions.
