Director level leadership role providing expertise in Civil Engineering for Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects, enhancing our technical reputation in the energy sector across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). You will be part of a passionate team proud to be supporting the energy transition through the design, build and delivery of complex, large, high voltage, and critical, energy infrastructure projects from large transmission towers through to complex substations.
You will have the remit to lead the practice design and delivery teams, developing cohesive design solutions and technical frameworks for a diverse range of civil engineering needs within the rapidly evolving energy sector for T&D projects. You will be applying your problem-solving abilities, working across disciplines as a subject matter leader for civil engineering requirements into large transmission towers and complex substation projects across geographies and locations. This includes providing civil design expertise into site and roading access, drainage and stormwater design, geological and foundation requirements, bulk earthworks, trenching, installation and services considerations, site operation, bunding, and civil requirements for site buildings and transformers.
You will be working with clients and internal teams to understand client and project needs, while balancing engineering concepts, and applying commercial judgement with the project economic, technical, site and design requirements. How you work will be important, with the role requiring collaboration across different engineering disciplines based locally, across ANZ and globally. Being able to work with others finding common ground with a client and project first approach will be important. You will also have scope to mentor, coach, and develop the next generation of civil engineers in the T&D discipline – this may include people leadership responsibilities as the team grows.
This fast paced and evolving nature of projects will suit a Civil Engineering leader looking to make a difference, and with a passion to make a difference across the growing energy sector.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced technical lead across civil engineering, known for your design rigour across a broad range of civil engineering requirements, your problem-solving ability and delivery of complex technical projects. Experience across energy related projects is required, especially a track record of very diverse project types, site requirements, scale and geographies for the energy sector.
