About the role:

Responsible for direct supervision and performance management of clinical practitioners, and for the execution of Medical Director–approved clinical policies, procedures, and frameworks across day-to-day operations.

The role translates clinical governance standards into operational practice, ensuring workforce capability, scheduling, performance, and processes deliver safe, high-quality care at scale, while continuing to lead clinic operational performance and improvement.

Key Accountabilities:

• Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable clinical practitioners and the Clinic Operations team, including performance management, coaching, and capability development.

  • Drive practitioner engagement, productivity, and quality performance in line with organisational standards.

  Operational Execution of Clinical Governance

  • Accountable for the implementation and adherence to Medical Director–approved clinical policies, procedures, and frameworks.

  • Translate governance requirements into operational workflows, training, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure consistent application in practice.

  Performance & Outcomes Delivery

  • Own and achieve scorecard measurables for clinical operations, including practitioner performance, quality indicators, productivity, and capacity outcomes.

  • Ensure staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning support safe, reliable service delivery.

  Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Analyse clinical and operational performance data, quality metrics, and feedback to drive improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen service delivery.

Experience:

Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary healthcare or clinical operations teams, including direct people leadership and performance management. (Desired: Experience working in telehealth or digitally enabled models of care.)

• Strong leadership background within healthcare, telehealth, or primary care environments, leading clinical and non-clinical teams.

• Proven experience implementing clinical governance frameworks, policies, and quality standards within operational settings.

• Experience managing workforce planning, scheduling, and capacity in a regulated clinical environment.

• Strong understanding of clinical quality, risk management, compliance, and patient safety principles.

• Track record of delivering measurable improvements in performance, productivity, quality, and service outcomes.

• Experience using operational and performance data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior clinical leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
