About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of GIS Professional Services Delivery to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our national GIS professional services portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee the delivery of complex geospatial projects, manage high‑performing teams, and ensure that financial, quality, and safety targets are met.

This role is central to shaping the future of our Digital Solutions capabilities across Australia and enhancing the value we deliver to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and deliver multiple GIS projects—ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are consistently achieved.


• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all delivery functions.


• Develop, refine, and implement processes that improve efficiency and service quality.


• Build and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.


• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to project teams.


• Deliver accurate performance, financial, and risk reporting.


• Drive client satisfaction, engagement, and long‑term partnerships.


• Contribute to pre‑sales activities including solution design, proposals, and technical scoping.


• Track emerging geospatial and digital technologies and integrate innovations into service offerings.


• Manage team performance, recruitment, and capability development.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for a leader who brings:

• 10–15 years’ experience in GIS service delivery or related fields.


• Proven success delivering complex GIS projects, including ESRI platform implementations and custom solutions.


• Strong financial management and commercial acumen.


• Expertise in risk management, change management, and continuous improvement.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.


• Advanced technical proficiency in geospatial platforms and tools.


• Experience supporting business development and pre‑sales initiatives.


• A passion for innovation and emerging GIS and digital technologies.
