Director of Corporate Services - Room for Advancement

Etheridge Shire Council is seeking to employ a Director of Corporate Services to ensure Council’s objectives are developed and implemented with an emphasis on creating and sustaining a culture of continual improvement, innovation and efficiency. You will lead Council’s Corporate Services Directorate and provide quality and cost-effective services to the Council and the Community in the areas of Financial Management, IT, Records Management, Childcare, VIC, Student Hostel, Governance, Human Resources, Enterprise Risk Management, Grant Writing, Environmental Health and Local Laws.

You will have a passion for living and working in rural Australian communities along with broad practical experience and a strong working knowledge of Local Government including the legislative framework. You will possess effective leadership and supervisory skills, strong knowledge of operational and strategic financial management, with the ability to communicate effectively and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The position is being offered on a 5-year fixed term contract, with an attractive remuneration package to be negotiated including 12% superannuation, 5 weeks leave, executive style housing, vehicle for private use and relocation.
